Rihanna Announce Anti World Tour Will Be Put Off

Rihanna Anti world tour will be delayed. Last November, she announced a world tour behind her new album Anti.

The singer has pushed the start date of her Anti world tour, which was originally slated to kick off on Feb. 26 in San Diego, and instead will begin the tour on March 12 in Jacksonville, Fla. Additionally, RiRi has rescheduled eight dates for May including gigs in San Diego, Oakland, San Jose, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix and New Orleans.

So why all the changes? Recently, Rihanna canceled her Grammys performance because she "has been struggling with bronchitis and is on meds." A doctor warned her that performing at the event could have had "permanently damage[d] her vocal cords."

Travis Scott will be on tour with her as the opening act for the North America leg, while The Weeknd and Big Sean will be headed to join Rihanna for her two-month stint in Europe, which is schedule to begin in April.

Rihanna's reps confirmed to Billboard that "production delays" caused the postponement. The Weeknd, Big Sean, and Travis Scott will still join her at various points on the tour.
